Well I just found this on eBay (just a few hours left if it fits you gals! It's too small on the bust for me, woes) - neither of them have a label but they must be the same make, right?

And the sellers are in New York and San Diego respectively! I just think it's a cool coincidence that both these dresses survived and have come up for sale at the same time! I just hope that when my dress arrives that it fits me like the lilac version does on its mannequin!
Night all!

Very cute I love your new dress I wish that purple one was in my size!

How cool!
ReplyDeleteNEAT! That's so cool! You know, I just saw another dress that's on etsy in one color and on ebay in another. I'm glad there's more vintage nerds who love this stuff :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love that ETSY shop, she has good prices!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love the style.
ReplyDeleteLove them, too bad Im all out of funds =/
ReplyDeleteNice finds! I do hope that they fit you just as well as the mannequin too. I've been having some disappointing fit issues recently too. Getting a dress on the looks a dream and fits perfectly, but then I can't get it off again!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a coincidence! They look like they may have been homemade from the same pattern. It's amazing to imagine two women in totally different states lovingly making the same dress. I love clothes with a story!
ReplyDeleteThanks all, I'm so glad there are others as nerdy as me! :D
ReplyDeleteSKM: I know, I have become a master of putting in darts, but I recently gave myslf a neck spasm getting something too tight off, haha
NoirGirl: Mine has a paper size tag in it so it's not home made! The other could be I guess, but the embroidery makes me think maybe not!
I love vintage clothing, finding one of pieces of clothing that no one has is such a great feeling, just because no one will be wearing it, only you.
ReplyDeleteI have been buying vintage clothing from ebay a lot and found this ebay store called vintagefreakclothing - http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/vintagefreakclothing__W0QQ_armrsZ1
Anything vintage and retro is there, from peacoats to vintage t-shirts.
They also have a facebook group called vintage freak clothing, check that out aswell because they have some funny videos and prize draws happening every week, something called FREAK of the week.
There slogan is
ROCK THE VINTAGE UNLEASH THE FREAK
Michael, if you want to promote your eBay store, that is fine, but just do it, don't pretend you discovered it!
ReplyDeleteI also like to think I look good in vintage, and not at all like a freak. ;)
I recently came accross your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I dont know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
